The Ethnographic Museum Carlos Soriano of El Llano de Molina de Segura recycling organized a workshop on Sunday October 14 (11/10/2012)

The Department of Tourism of the City of Molina de Segura has organized the visit and Recycling Workshop at the Ethnographic Museum Carlos Soriano (in the hamlet of El Llano de Molina) on October 14, from 11.30 to 13.30.

This is an activity aimed at a family audience and intended that, from childhood, environmental awareness is acquired.

Carlos Soriano The Ethnographic Museum is located in the old manor that this lawyer had in his agricultural colony of El Llano de Molina and was inaugurated on May 17, 2003.

The proposed activities will take place from Monday to Thursday for arranged groups (schools, associations, cultural centers, etc.., The municipality and the region), and the second Sunday of the month, for the general population, in hours 11.30 to 13.30 hours.

The City of Molina de Segura, in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works, rehabilitated the building and started this center.

The complex consists of the manor, the chapel attached to part of the colony, an area of ​​agricultural crops, to show the typical products of the area, a Ferris wheel on the canal hydraulic in operation and declared a Cultural and since 2011, a temporary exhibition hall.

The manor house has two floors.

On the ground floor, next to the entrance, features a tinajero, under the stairs, and some of the archaeological surveys in the town since 1992.

Turning to the kitchen you can see different utensils that were part of this stay and some collections of ceramics and glass.

Passing through the courtyard of the house leads to the temporary exhibition hall, where they develop proposals for different artists of the town.

The upper floor contains the first room, which considers different costumes.

The next room is composed of different models, which collect huertanas work and some artifacts such as wells, mills, etc.

The last room recreates a bedroom of the late nineteenth century.
