The IX Setenil Prize 2012 Best Book of short stories published in Spain will be delivered on Tuesday, December 11 in the city of Molina de Segura (10/12/2012)

The prize, worth $ 10,000, went to the wrong travel book, Forced Clara, edited by Editorial Pages Foam

The ceremony of the IX Setenil Award 2012 for Best Story Book Published in Spain, organized by the Municipality of Molina de Segura, will take place on Tuesday, December 11, at 20.00 pm in the Plenary Hall of the City Council, with the assistance of the local mayor, Eduardo Contreras Linares, the Director General of Cultural Assets of the Region of Murcia, Francisco Gimenez Grace Award winner Setenil IX, Clara Obligado, Councillor for Culture, Mariola Martinez Robles, President of the Jury Cristina Fernandez Cubas, and the President of the Coral Hims Mola, Fina Palazón Palazón.

The award winner was Clara Obliged, which has won the award for his work The wrong travel book, edited by Page Foam (Madrid), among the 58 submitted by publishers from all over Spain.

The award-winning writer, Clara Obligado (Buenos Aires, 1950), political exile of the military dictatorship, living in Madrid since 1976 and has Spanish citizenship.

He graduated in Literature in Argentina, where he was a student of Borges.

In 1996 he received the award for his novel Lumen Marx's daughter.

In the wrong travel book presents a collection of eleven stories that can be read independently, but are linked together by communicating vessels.

The Department of Culture of the Municipality of Molina de Segura has awarded this year's Recognition of Cultural Dissemination Setenil the Polyphonic Choir Hims Mola for his work in the practice and teaching of music, and for spreading the name of this town Murcia throughout Europe, an award to be presented also in the act.

The Department of Culture in 2009 instituted the Recognition of Cultural Dissemination Setenil order to distinguish those persons, groups or institutions that, over the years, have conducted activities to promote culture in the town, in any its facets.

In the three previous editions has been on the bookstore Justina Jiménez Salcedo, the businessman and art gallery owner Vicente Juan Davalos and Physics Professor Francisco Javier Abellán, organizer of the meetings on Thursdays.

In this fourth edition, the Recognition of Cultural Dissemination Setenil has been given to the Polyphonic Choir Hims Mola.

This group was founded in Molina de Segura in 1990 in response to the musical interests of its members and contribute their bit to the cultural landscape of the town.

Since then, fueled by the constant addition of new members, the activity of the Coral Hims Mola has continued to expand, acting not only in the region of Murcia and in Spain, but also in cities flagship of European culture as Vienna, Lisbon, Poitiers and Florence.

In an effort to extend the choral music, the Mola Hims created a chorus of treble voices and a youth choir, where they learn and sing more than a hundred children.

The group is chaired by Fina Palazón Palazón and its directors are Arnaldos Manuel Serrano and Pilar Fernández Gallardo.

The prestigious orchestra director Virginia Martinez Fernandez works with the group as a vocalist and as a director.
