UPyD Molina de Segura shown "skeptic" before the new plan to promote employment linked to municipal public works (04/01/2013)

The Municipal Council of UPyD in Molina de Segura, he was "skeptical" to the new employment plan announced by the local mayor, Eduardo Contreras, linking the performance of municipal works to create jobs for unemployed persons with low qualifications.

Waiting for more details on this plan, which in any case shall be subject to the evolution of the municipal budget in the first months of 2013, the political education spokesman, Encarna Hernandez, believed to be a "mistake" again resorting formulas that, as at the time the Plan E, proved unable to create stable and quality employment.

Hernandez, who has "valued" Consistory this effort to try to stop the rise in unemployment in the municipality (2012 closed with a balance of 7,338 unemployed), believes that this is nothing more than a "patch" to the need to find ways to stimulate economic activity in the city.

In 2009, UPyD called attention to the fact that the implementation of the Plan E in the town had generated only 30% of the initially intended use, largely because the creation of jobs was not a key criterion when to award the works, a must when it comes to public works schemes linked to job creation.

For political education, it is essential "that we pause to consider where the opportunities for employment and self-employment in the municipality."

In this sense, UPyD advocates a reconvening of the Special Employment Commission, to bring together political, social and economic view to finding solutions to the unemployment problem and give renewed impetus to the new Economic and Social Council of the municipality.

To UPyD is essential and diversify the production model of growth, betting with measures to reduce the loads that have to support small and medium businesses and freelancers.

In addition, payment to suppliers should continue as a priority of the city government in 2013 to prevent the recurrence of situations like those that have occurred in the past, as the government debts have destroyed many jobs.

In this sense, UPyD recalled that recently filed Consistory provider payment plan, as it had bills to service providers amounting to 1.2 million euros.
