The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras Linares, accompanied by the Councillor for Economy and Employment, Victoria Gomez Alcazar, and Councilman Outdoor, Vicente Fernandez Oliva, held a meeting with local residents to inform them about the project construction of the new Plaza de Europa.
The meeting took place on Tuesday 22 January, at the Plenary Hall of the City Council, and attended by locals of Punta del Lugar, Molina de Aragón, April Three Square residential and Europe.
First, the Mayor said that the City has resolved the contract file to build a car park in the Plaza Europa.
The concessionaire must return to its initial state land was to be located where the parking lot by filling the excavated and urbanization of the perimeter of the site, with the construction of sidewalks and the installation of street lighting.
This first project is approved and valued at 235,000 euros, and the work will begin next week.
Once the land is restored, the City will undertake the second phase of activity in the interior of 6,100 square meters.
To do this, the municipal officers have drawn up a blueprint to manage the site.
The new square will meet criteria recreational, sporting and environmental, with the formation of various relaxation areas spread over three different levels: the upper zone, next to Calle Triunfo, will be equipped with a sports court and play area, the gap will feature trees and a large stage, and the bottom, next to Calle Asunción will be a paved open space.
The facility will be closed and access doors, to protect the area from storm floods Square.
The draft was well received by residents and will be held once finished running the first landfill project and urbanization, and approved the final draft management inside the square, valued at 400,000 euros.
