The City of Molina de Segura, through the Department of Tourism, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Region of Murcia, has launched the Second Tourism Development Plan 2013, presented Tuesday January 29 , in the center of Murcia Tourist qualification.
The press conference was hosted by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, the Director of the Institute of Tourism in the Region of Murcia, Ujaldón Enrique Benitez, and the Councillor for Tourism, Mariola Martinez Robles.
Tourism in Molina de Segura is enhanced this year with two new tourist routes (Entre Sierras and flow paths), and the new campaign to promote gastronomy We were by Molina.
The Second Tourism Development Plan covers, besides promotion, aspects such as creating destination and tourist information.
Commitment to the development of a multi-destination, with the consolidation of existing products, such as cultural, shopping and golf, and the creation of new attractions such as the active and nature and gastronomy.
Among the objectives of the plan is: first, to attract new visitors and increase overnight stays the same, something that affects the creation of jobs and wealth, and, secondly, the promotion, preservation and promotion of related resources to tourism and the conservation and improvement of infrastructure and equipment to enhance the tourism image of the municipality.
To meet these objectives, during the year 2013 will develop three types of actions:

If in 2012 they opted for three commodities (Industrial, Shopping and Cultural), in 2013 the effort focuses on active and nature tourism.

Route between SAWS: Drive north of the town of Molina de Segura, where there is an area of ​​outstanding beauty surrounded by mountains.
These are, from north to south: The Eagle Sierra, La Sierra in place and the Sierra de la Espada, geological area, by house inside fossilized coral reefs.
In this environment, we have selected three marked trails and ecotourism and whose journey offer the opportunity to enjoy the hiking, as well as activities such as climbing, caving, via ferrata, etc..
The starting point is the Ecotourism Information Center The Landing, where you can find information on the routes and the possibility of active tourism activities in groups.
Nearby soars the municipal shelter and several lodgings that allow to stay in touch with nature.
Route FLOW PATHS: it is intended to highlight the connection axis and first class tourist flows at regional running through the town and are appropriate for practicing active tourism: Segura River Greenway Northwest Trail Real, and their connections with local tours.
With it you can enjoy of assets related to the culture of water, such as wells or ditches, accommodation and catering establishments, population centers that provide services and resources of interest and the possibility of additional leisure activities related to river sports, hiking and cycling.
- Promoting tourism:
Campaign to promote gastronomy stayed for MOLINA, which will be launched in collaboration with the Association of Culinary Molina de Segura.
This campaign seeks to highlight the cuisine and local products as a cultural and economic.
The objectives of this campaign include the development of a picture to identify the traditional cuisine and local products while improving and strengthening the economic conditions of farmers, producers and local catering business.

Finally, we have considered the quality of service and constant innovation.
Another action has been editing, on paper, which contains a drop-down plans for Molina de Segura, fusing entertainment with culture and gastronomy.

It is a triptych that, globally, explains how you can spend a day in Molina de Segura: enjoy their culture, savoring the cuisine or shopping.
The brochure includes a map of the city where they are located the most important tourism resources and as something original, a pocket in which you can include all the tourist brochures that have been made: the three last year (between chimneys, Molina Medieval Shopping and Molina), plus the two new (Entre Sierras and Flow Paths).
- Soccerfame tourist city: it has created a system of tourism statistics, which is the basis of data for decision-making and action planning.
We have designed a data collection form that was distributed to all accommodation establishments in the municipality to estimate the number of visitors and their age and background, the purpose of travel, etc..
