The Department of Equality of the City of Molina de Segura, in the development of the Fourth Plan for Equal Opportunities between women and men, organized a cultural program of activities aimed at the population, giving continuity to the actions of awareness, training, information and participation, with the aim that everyone cooperate in establishing personal and social relations free of prejudice and stereotypes, based on respect and harmony.
This program is part of activities commemorating the March 8, United Nations Day for Women's Rights and International Peace, and will take place between February and May 2013.
Explains the Councillor for Equality, Reme Lopez Paredes, "the day we celebrate March 8 with the understanding that the work for equality is a distance race that has involved and involves the efforts of many and many. Yet another year, we will try to transmit the true meaning of this day: keep working, day after day, against gender violence and equality between men and women. "
The program of activities is twofold.
The main one is that women participate and show the work done in the various fields of social and cultural life.
So it is a very rich and varied, with activities to be held during the month of March in the Mall Plaza Vega Molina de Segura, workshops and exhibitions with activities that develop women's associations throughout the year .
A second objective is to carry out activities that affect the achievement of the objectives of the Fourth Plan for Equality of the Department.
According to the councilor said, "the continued work to ensure that women of our town forward and be partakers of the accomplishments, big or small, on the road to real equality, represents a significant factor in the organization of these activities."
In the second block of activities include: the exhibition of the drawings presented to the VI Contest Drawing "Growing in Equality", from February 14, in the Vega Mall Plaza, and will be throughout the month, workshops , plays, the special program on Radio Company (to be published on Friday, March 1, from 13:00 to 14:00 pm in the frequency 98.8 FM), dedicated to the shared responsibilities between alumni / ae of the IES of the municipality, the activity designed to raise awareness of women's artistic production of Molina, this time the House of Andalusia (the Wednesday, February 20 at 20.00 pm in the Center Las Balsas), reading the manifesto of Women's Associations Township in plenary ordinary Monday, February 25, the opening of the exhibition "Women and Citizenship", in the Municipal Hall "Jail" from 5 to 15 March and poetry reading of Irel Faustina, 6 March, at 18:00 pm in the Exhibition Hall Garden.
There will also be film sessions (one held last February 5, and others that will take place on 11 March and 13 May), the XI meeting / coexistence of the 26 women's centers in the municipality (Friday March 8, in the Boulevard of the furnaces, in the neighborhood of San Roque), the awards ceremony of the XIV Painting Contest (the Monday, March 18, at 20.00 pm in the Exhibit Hall Jail) which will open the exhibition of the work presented in this Chamber, until April 5, the awards ceremony of the XVIII Poetry and Literary Contest Short Story (on Tuesday, April 16, at 20.00 am in the Hall Plenary Hall).
On Thursday, May 16, at the Teatro Villa de Molina, will be the closing and final year of women's associations in the municipality.
Finally, the Councillor for Equality calls "to engage all groups of the municipality and development culminating in a successful program."
