Ends the adequacy of the urban environment of ancient medieval fortress in Molina de Segura (25/03/2013)

The program of grants to local authorities of the Ministry of Public Works and Planning subsidizes this performance with 281,000 euros

The Minister of Public Works and Planning, Antonio Sevilla, and the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras, today visited the adequacy of the urban environment in which the remains of the old medieval fortress of the thirteenth century.

This is the highest part of the Castle district, known as Mirador del Castillo, site of the former home of Maíta incorporating remnants of the old medieval wall.

The performance held in Molina de Segura had an investment of 678,657 euros, financed by 41 percent (281,163 euros) by the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the program of grants to local authorities for space conditioning public.

Antonio Sevilla explained that the works have included the demolition of the elements without interest and estate recovery and enhancement archaeological remains, "thus becoming a new tourist and cultural resource for the city, as it recovered the equity and historical ".

Archaeological recovery of the thirteenth and seventeenth
