The Ethnographic Museum Carlos Soriano of El Llano de Molina continues on Sunday April 14 with its program of activities (12/04/2013)

The Department of Tourism of the City of Molina de Segura, within the Programme between the field and orchard, proposed for Sunday April 14, from 11.30 to 13.30 hours, the visit and workshop properties of plants, in the Carlos Soriano Ethnographic Museum of the Llano de Molina.

Activity aimed at a family audience, we discover the old ways of life in the garden, past the clothing or the traditions already lost, as hijuela or desperfollo of pussy.

All accompanied by a workshop of plant properties, where the plants collected in the environment will help them discover their characteristics and uses, while they prepare a proper book of botany.

Carlos Soriano The Ethnographic Museum is located in the old manor that this lawyer had in his agricultural colony of Llano de Molina de Segura and was inaugurated on May 17, 2003.

The proposed activities will take place from Monday to Thursday for arranged groups (schools, associations, cultural centers, etc.., The municipality and the region), and the second Sunday of the month, for the general population, in hours 11.30 to 13.30 hours.

The City of Molina de Segura, in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works, rehabilitated the building and started this center.

The complex is formed by the manor house, the chapel attached to part of the colony, an area of ​​agricultural crops, to show the typical products of the area, a Ferris wheel on the canal hydraulic in operation and declared a Cultural and since 2011, a temporary exhibition hall.

The manor house has two floors.

On the ground floor there is the entrance which features a tinajero, under the stairs, and some of the archaeological surveys in the town since 1992.

Turning to find different kitchen utensils that were part of this stay and some collections of ceramics and glass.

Passing through the courtyard of the house arrived at the temporary exhibition hall where they develop different proposals of local artists.

Upstairs includes a first room where we see different costumes.

The next room is composed of different models where huertanas work and collect artifacts as waterwheels, mills ... The last room recreates a bedroom of the late nineteenth century.
