The National Folklore Festival of Molina de Segura celebrates its thirty-first edition on Saturday September 7 (05/09/2013)

The celebration of the XXXI National Folklore Festival of Molina de Segura will be held Saturday September 7, starting at 22.00 pm in the Municipal Auditorium (on Park Company).

Your organization corresponds to the Group Songs and Dances of Molina / Regional Association Francisco Salzillo (Member of the Federation of Associations of Songs and Dances of Spain / FACYDE), in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Celebration of the City molinense.

The festival will feature folk groups of the following:

Folkloric Group Our Lady of Fatima-Peña Pulpitero Corner (Cotillas Towers): This group was founded in 1992 and aims to inculcate and spread the culture of their folklore, at the level of music, dances, songs, costumes and customs.

It has a wide repertoire that includes partying, jacks, Malaga, fandango and rollovers, and look very different costumes ranging from those intended for the work of the garden and field, as shepherdesses and petticoats for the zaragüel or trousers for man , to luxury holiday or Murcia and Cartagena.

Songs and Dances Cultural Association Virgin River Huercal-Overa (Almería): was founded in 1987 by Christopher Salvador Perez, current artistic director and president of the Association.

The primary mission of this partnership is the rescue, preservation and dissemination of folklore.

The group holder comprises forty-five people divided into twelve dancing couples and the rest in Rondalla and choir.

It has a large repertoire, which includes traditional dances of Andalusia, although focusing mainly on Almeria.

Songs and Dances El Castellar (Zafra, Badajoz): born in February 1983.

Members who on this date begin their wanderings in the group and belonged since 1978 Pedeva Dance Group.

Since its birth it has covered almost the entire geography of Extremadura showing its rich culture and has participated in national and international festivals.

Recently received the Award of Honor Candelaria organized by the Centre for Tourism Initiatives in Zafra.

Songs and Dances of Molina.

Salzillo Francisco Regional Association: created in 1987 with the aim of recovering the dances and traditions of the town and the district of Vega Media, with the work of its thirty-five components.

After its premiere at the Teatro Romea of ​​Murcia, has appeared in various national and international festivals.

Since its creation, maintains a local academy folklore through which it has created a children's group.

This year again the festival organizer molinense group, showing the dances from all over the country.

Currently, the group is chaired by Juan de Dios Hernández Martínez.

The festival will start at 22.00 with the exchange of details between the city and the organizing group and groups visiting Molina de Segura.
