The Municipal UPyD in Molina de Segura has shown its "outright opposition" to the Popular Party's intention to place a tip in the hamlet molinense of Hightower.
In this sense, the political formation adds to the rejection expressed by residents at the meeting held last Thursday in the hamlet, which was attended by Councilman Rafael Ortega.
According to Ortega, "there are serious doubts about the 'urgency' to re-move this project right now, and when the volume of construction and demolition waste is plummeting in recent years."
In addition, the mayor added, "in our municipality there are many other more suitable sites to accommodate a facility of this type, no need to create such a nuisance to neighbors, to locate so close to town of the district."
In this context, that "there are no suitable access for truck traffic."
"We have many technical questions, environmental and economic to justify this project," he concluded.
For his part, the spokesman of political education, embodies Hernandez, also regretted "that the PP government team only Torrrealta remember to place them there's a tip, when a district that requires many other investments and public facilities to improve the quality of life of their neighbors. "
Finally, Hernandez said that "the land where the dump would be located are now municipal property thanks to a swap transaction that is sub judice, and may have been a very bad deal for the interests of the City and all molinenses ".
