The X Program Gender Violence Prevention Molina de Segura, prepared by the Department of Equality molinense City Council, pursuant to the Fourth Plan for Equal Opportunities between Women and Men 2009/2013, was presented at a press conference Tuesday October 29, in the Press Room of City Hall, the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, and the Councillor for Equality, Reme Lopez Paredes.
The objective of this program is to prevent and eradicate any kind of expression of violence against women in the municipality and molinense raise public awareness on this issue, for a total rejection of any kind of violence.
Scheduled activities will be held during the months of October and November are:
- WORKSHOP FOR THE MEMORY STIMULATION.
Target population: women over 16 years of the town of Molina de Segura.
Date: Wednesday 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 October.
Time: 18.30 to 21.00.
Location: Centro Las Balsas.
- TRAINING COURSE WOMEN ASSOCIATION PRESIDENTS.
Speaker: CEPEP.
Date: Monday and Tuesday October 4 and November 5.
Target population: boards of women's associations.
Venue: The Garden.
Local Widows Association.
- ESTEEM WORKSHOP.
Target population: women over 16 years of the town of Molina de Segura.
Date: Saturday 6.13, 20 and 27 November.
Time: 18.30 to 21.00.
Location: Centro Las Balsas.
- EASY DAYS EUROPE: EUROPEAN YEAR OF CITIZENS 2013.
Mobile Classroom, located in the Town Hall Square, where specific information about the European Union, its institutions and policies, as well as information material.
Talk on certain European policies and programs.
Location: Hall of the College of Education Paseo Rosales.
Date: Friday November 4.
Time: 17.30 h.
Organised by the Directorate General of the European Union and Foreign Affairs in collaboration with Europe Direct office Murcia and the city of Molina de Segura.
- DRAWING CONTEST VII GROWING IN EQUALITY.
Objective: to encourage smaller equality between women and men, as a measure to prevent violence against women.
The deadline for submission of the drawings will be from publication of the rules until December 20.
Target population: Students of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Primary Education schools molinenses.
- AWARENESS CAMPAIGN AGAINST GENDER VIOLENCE.
Objective: molinense raise awareness on the issue of gender violence.
Target population: molinense population in general, public institutions and businesses.
Date: from 15 to 29 November.
- ROUNDTABLE ON VIOLENCE PREVENTION OF ELDER: DETECTION OF EARLY SYMPTOMS.
Objective: To train and sensitize to detect possible cases of seniors who are subjected to violence in order to act immediately and provide assistance.
Location: Hall of the College of Education Paseo Rosales.
Date: Wednesday November 20

- RADIO PROGRAM COMPANY: VIOLENCE IN THE ELDERLY.
Objective: To prevent violence experienced by older people and provide general recommendations for good family care and / or residential.
