The Volunteers for the World Association of Molina de Segura has been presented at a press conference on Tuesday November 12, at the local council.

Volunteers for the World was created with the primary purpose of managing the European Voluntary Service (EVS), an opportunity that is offered to young people to express their personal commitment to participate in voluntary activities in a foreign country within or outside the EU, with the aim to develop values ​​such as solidarity, mutual understanding and tolerance among young people.

To do this you need to have between 18 and 30 years of age and European resident.

The young volunteer becomes part of a project (which is chosen according to preferences) that will develop a job in a host country.

Projects usually last between 3 and 12 months.

Participation is free for volunteers (except for a possible maximum contribution equal to 10% of the costs of the trip).

They are also provided to volunteers accommodation and maintenance, insurance and a small allowance of money for the duration of the project.

The EVS covers a wide range of areas: culture, youth, sports, social care, cultural heritage, arts, civil protection, environment, development cooperation, etc..

Before you start looking for a project, the youth must contact a sending organization that will serve as a reference in Spain, as in the case of the association molinense Volunteers for the World.

The organization will give you all the information you need about the project and help you find a suitable project to their concerns and interests, through a database where all the projects that are offered.

For its part, the host organization is responsible for giving accommodation, teach you to do the work to be performed, will give a language course with the official language of the destination country and try actively involve him in the community in which reality is .
