The Local PP reform is one of "the most backward laws and overrides the participation of residents in municipal life" (12/12/2013)

Under the slogan "Defend your city hall 12 12 at 12. Contra local reform" most political parties, trade unions and social organizations conducted a concentration against Bill Streamlining and Sustainability Management Local, to be voted on in the full Senate is expected on December 16 and then finally approved by Congress.

The PSOE Spokesman, Antonio Gomariz present in concentration, has stated that the Local Reform PP "leaves no relevant skills councils, which the municipal services provided in education, social services are endangered, health , care for victims of domestic violence, children, elderly, dependent, etc.. puts the municipalities also serve the interests of the central government, so that towns and cities happen to be core of democracy administrations disabled

The Socialist Party believes that local government is a "government waste", it's possible they do not want the others and that opens the door to blatant way the privatization of services.

Ultimately the Local Reform PP is a settlement for municipal public employment.

A reform of this caliber should be based on consensus, and the PSOE sense insists that the agreement should be based on all political forces for the importance of the changes involved in the operation of local government.

In that sense it is one of the most backward laws of democracy, more harmful to the lives of citizens and virtually cancels and settles the participation of residents, associations and trades in municipal life.
