The Department of Equality and Women's Literary Association of Molina de Segura organized a poetry reading on Friday, March 14 (13/03/2014)

The Department of Equality of the City of Molina de Segura, in the IV Plan for Equal Opportunities between Women and Men and in commemoration of March 8, the United Nations Day for Women's Rights and International Peace Literary works with the Women's Association of Molina de Segura in The Romance Poetry Recital, which took place on Friday, March 14th, at 20.00 pm in the Exhibition Hall Jail (Calle Cervantes, No. 5).

The main objective of the event is to promote equal opportunities in the creation, production and dissemination cultural and artistic women of the village.

The activity will consist of several parts.

First we will conduct an introduction focusing on the history of the Romances, and then proceed to readings belonging to Old Ballads, based on the set of ballads that were sung by the minstrels and the people from the middle or end of the fourteenth century , and throughout the fifteenth century.

Finally, we will present The New Ballads, romances created by the poets belonging to the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, as Cervantes, Lope de Vega, Góngora and Quevedo, which greatly renewed their thematic content and formal resources.

The Councillor for Equality, Remedios Lopez Paredes says that "this activity is to have a vision of the new roles that women are playing and should play in today's society, incorporating the promotion of equal opportunities in cultural planning the municipality, building events like this in commemoration of March 8. "
