The Mayor of Molina de Segura visit Cardiff Welsh centers participating in the Comenius Regio Partnership (24/03/2014)

The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras Linares, and the Councillor for Education, Mariola Martinez Robles, with teachers in schools molinenses CEIP El Romeral, CC Sagrada Familia and CEIP Tierno Galván, are visiting schools in in the Welsh city of Cardiff participating in the Comenius Regio Partnership, from 23 to 27 March.

The Association Comenius Regio between the city of Molina de Segura and Cardiff City Council in Wales, Great Britain, involved in the Tapping Into Children's Project Potential-in Partnership (Addressing the potential of children in partnership), which involved addition molinense consistory, schools CEIP El Romeral, CC Sagrada Familia, CEIP Tierno Galván, Counseling Psychology Team Molina and Extension Center faculty and resources of the Region of Murcia in Molina de Segura.

What part of Wales, in addition to the local authority, schools include Cadoxton Primary School, Barry Island Primary, Bryn Hafod Primary School, Evenlode Primary School and Peter Lea Primary, all based in the Cardiff area and Vale of Glamorgan.

The partnership between the two entities is centered on the theme of intergenerational learning, development of entrepreneurship and ICT integration, and includes a series of activities, which include visits by teachers and educational experts to schools in Molina de Segura and Cardiff, training seminars and training workshops with families.

This program of activities started in November 2013, with the visit 10 teachers molinense Welsh schools participating in the partnership.

From 23 to 27 March, the Mayor of Molina de Segura and the Councillor for Education, with the participants molinenses schools, visit the Welsh centers to continue working on the project activities and learn more about their educational system and how to work of these centers.

Comenius Regio Partnerships are intended to promote the development of cooperation activities between local and regional authorities active in the world of education in Europe and thus help improve their educational offer.

Enable collaboration of regional institutions, schools and other stakeholders in education to work together on issues of common interest.

Are eligible to apply for a Comenius Regio regional or local authorities responsible for education, which are the focal points in the region to project development, financial management, dissemination and sustainability of results.

The association consists of two applicants regions, each of which includes at least: the local or regional authority with responsibility for education, an education center at least infant, primary or secondary, and another local partner institution, at least ( for example, youth or sports clubs, associations of parents or students, teacher training institutions, museums, NGOs, etc.).

Comenius Regio Partnerships can participate in any issue of common interest and relevance to the two participating regions.

Aspects of organization and school management cooperation between schools and other local partners in the formal and informal education, common challenges in education in many European countries, such as intercultural education, coexistence, preventing racism and violence work, dropout prevention, etc..
