The Department of Social Welfare of the City of Molina de Segura has received from 20 schools in the municipality a list of 110 potential families with economic difficulties and therefore lacking in the minors, he has done a study to determine their status during summer vacation 2014 by the absence of school canteens.
This study demonstrates the following:
95.4% of these 110 families are users of the municipal social services.
There are families in this list that are not registered in the town of Molina de Segura.
Of the families who use social services, a large percentage of families credited situations of urgent need, circumstance which are being met throughout the year, through units corresponding social work, and in some cases, the program family and children.

Families who appear on the list and that the holiday period without formal dining room as well as those in which children do not study in schools with school meals will be served through Aid Urgently Needed from the municipal social services in coordination with Caritas and the Red Cross, covering the basic needs of children, and applying them to the rest of the family unit, as so far it has been doing.
These grants are increased according to the members of the unit and the summer.
During the period between January 1 and June 30, 2014, has been allocated the amount of € 121,573 in aid Urgent Need, of which 52.6% were in the form of food.
During August, there is a Customer Service Guard Units of Social Work, as has been done in previous years.
The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras Linares, highlighted and thanked "the work they have done those responsible for schools, and coordination mechanisms established with the municipal social services, for the sake of a clear, transparent, effective and efficient care of children. A significant example is the well-established mechanisms for mutual cooperation, as regards the aid of school supplies. "
