The Local Board of Public Safety of Molina de Segura held a meeting on Thursday July 10, at the local council, chaired by the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras Linares.

In the Board were present also the City Council Public Safety, City Fortunato Arias, on behalf of the Government Office, Cristina García García, Chief Deputy Inspector of the local police, José Pérez Almagro, the Chief Inspector of Police Station National in Molina de Segura, Antonio Bernabé Sánchez, the lieutenant of the Civil Guard in Molina de Segura, Monica Chapa Immaculate Sancho, the City Secretary General Maria Dolores García Martín-Gil, the Technical Administration of the City, Francisco José Medina Ibanez, the representative of the Socialist Municipal Group, Esther Clavero Look, the Speaker of the Municipal Group of United Left / Greens, Antonio López Vidal, the Spokesman of the Municipal UPyD, Encarnacion Hernandez Rodriguez, the Speaker of the Municipal CD's, Estanislao Vidal Pujante and the representative of the Federation of Neighborhood Associations Interbarrios, Juan José Pineda Martinez.

The Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras, stated that, "with data provided by the National Police, I can say that Molina de Segura remains one of the safest cities in Spain, because the crime rate is at 2.5 per 1,000 inhabitants, compared to a national rate of 4.5 per 1,000 inhabitants. these figures are the result of excellent cooperation and coordination between the National Police and the local police in our town, the I appreciate your hard work on behalf of public safety. "

The municipal plan for preventing theft of fruit, launched in early May, and is still active, is proving successful, and molinense City has received tokens of appreciation by the farmers themselves.

It has also been noticed by the National Police of the launch of Operation Senderos last July 1.
