The Oven Museum Council and House of Molina de Segura Folklore organized a workshop on children's literature and bookmarks on Sunday October 19 (17/10/2014)

The workshop on children's literature and bookmarks, organized by the Department of Tourism and Culture of the City of Molina de Segura in the Oven Museum Council and House of Folklore (in Street Cid, Barrio del Castillo), will take place on Sunday 19th of October, from 11.30 to 13.30.

This day, visitors who come to the Museum Council Oven can learn the unique characteristics of the oven until the eighteenth century of the city, and, through legends, fables and traditional tales, the workshop will be held.

The activity is aimed at children and youth.

+ Oven Council House Museum of Folklore

It is a unique example of architecture of the XVII-XVIII centuries, situated in the Barrio del Castillo born after the recovery and rehabilitation of the oldest city of the oven: Horno del Castillo.

The building retains almost all its original structure, made with the ancient technique of rammed earth and which highlights the great dome of its impressive Moorish oven.

The museum displays, interactive media and a contemporary museology, the most significant aspects of a baker and a sample of the most significant aspects of local folklore.

The rooms are comprising:

• Living Bread: which speaks of architecture, history and stories of this oven and its people.

• Audiovisual Room: is projected on the walls and the dome of the oven extraordinary audiovisual surround the tireless work of the baker, night after night kneads his bread.

• Living Folklore: Round, street musicians, dance traditions and sounds come together in this room so that visitors know and enjoy the rich folklore of Molina de Segura.

• Sala del Pozo: the vault, meeting place of the traditional houses of the garden.
