The City of Molina de Segura has awarded this year's Cultural Recognition Setenil Disclosure Secondary School Goya Francisco Molina de Segura, for his efforts to promote science, technology and research culture among the youth of the town.

The award will be presented in conjunction with the XI Setenil Award for Best Story Book Published in Spain on Thursday, December 11, at the Plenary Hall of the City of Molina de Segura.

The Department of Culture established in 2009 Setenil Recognition of Cultural Outreach in order to distinguish those persons, groups or institutions that, over the years, have conducted activities to promote culture in the municipality in any facets.

In the five previous editions has fallen on the bookseller Justina Jiménez Salcedo on the entrepreneur and art gallery owner John Vincent Davalos on Physics teacher and organizer of the La Tertulia of Thursday, Francisco Javier Abellán on the Polyphonic Choir Hims Mola and the Medical Research Foundation of Molina de Segura (FEM).

In this sixth edition, the Recognition of Cultural Dissemination Setenil has been given to Secondary School Francisco de Goya, a school which since its inception has firmly at the forefront and innovation.

On October 3, during the XXVII National Contest for Young Scientists convened by the National Institute for Youth, Institute won five Goya awards with three works of his students, recognized the work of the center itself with the top prize in this Contest: Honorable Mention.

This success is not an isolated case: Goya Institute is participating in this contest since 2009, garnering the highest level in the work presented research and garnering numerous awards for its students and teachers throughout the years.

Along with another institute of Burgos, is the only national who has been selected twice to participate in the European Contest for Young Scientists.

Thanks to the participation and success of this molinense center and three other centers Murcia, the region has become a national leader in research on teaching middle.
