The signing of agreement for the development of the Juntos Program are capable of MAPFRE Foundation, including the Association of Families and Persons with Mental Illness in Molina de Segura (AFESMO) and the town of Molina de Segura took place on Monday 10 November, in the Hall of City Hall.

Attended by the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras Linares, President of CERMI of Murcia, Pilar Morales, the Director of MAPFRE in Molina de Segura, José González Sánchez, President of AFESMO, Delia Topham Reguera, and Councillor for Social Welfare, Lola Vicente Quiles.

Under the agreement, about 6 youths with mental illness made work placements at the city of Molina de Segura, enabling them to acquire skills and experience in work and characteristic of the various departments of the work session.

The agreement, which becomes effective this month and lasts for one year, will allow young participants receive a training grant awarded by Fundación MAPFRE, and receive the necessary support from professionals AFESMO.

The Together We Are Capable Program has helped more than 2,000 companies actively contribute to the program, facilitating the formation of more than 1,000 students and the inclusion of over 1,300 individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental illness.

The City of Molina de Segura is continuously demonstrating its strong commitment to the most vulnerable people, supporting different actions for the same both in the workplace, such as in housing, education, food and health.

Meanwhile, AFESMO, with the aim of achieving social integration and job autonomy and personal users, conducts various training, psychological, cultural, recreational and occupational and social integration programs.
