The Oven Museum Council and House of Folklore Molina de Segura organizes a workshop drawing and painting on Sunday January 18th (16/01/2015)

The drawing and painting workshop, organized by the Department of Tourism and Culture of the City of Molina de Segura in the oven Museum Council and House of Folklore (Cid Street in Barrio del Castillo), Sunday January 18 will be held from 11.30 to 13.30.

Today, visitors who come to the Museo del Horno Council will learn the characteristics of single oven until the eighteenth century of the city and learn about the different painting techniques.

To do this, they will be inspired by old photographs of Molina de Segura.

Council Oven + House Museum of Folklore

It is a unique example of architecture of the XVII-XVIII centuries, located in the Barrio del Castillo born after the recovery and rehabilitation of the oldest furnace this city: the oven del Castillo.

The building remains almost entirely original structure, made with the ancient technique of mud and which highlights the great dome of its impressive Moorish oven.

The museum shows, interactive media and a contemporary museology, the most significant aspects of a baker and a sample of the most significant aspects of the local folklore.

Rooms are consisting of:

• Living Bread: which speaks of architecture, history and stories of this furnace and its people.

• Audiovisual Room: is projected on the walls and the dome of the oven extraordinary surround audiovisual, the tireless work of the baker, night after night knead bread.

• Living Folklore: Rounds, street musicians, dance traditions and sounds come together in this room so that visitors know and enjoy the rich folklore of Molina de Segura.

• Sala del Pozo: the cistern, meeting place of the traditional houses of the garden.
