The jury of Doctor Francisco Guirado V Award 2015, organized by the City of Molina de Segura, has agreed to grant the award to Francisco Toledo Romero, in the individual category, and the Association of Disabled Molina de Segura and Rare Diseases (DISMO) in the collective category.
The award was presented by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, during the ceremony held on Thursday March 12, in the tent at the Health Fair in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
Francisco Toledo Romero is Bachelor of Medicine and Cirugíapor the University of Granada, Specialist in Psychiatry at the University of Montpellier University Hospital Colombière and Hospital Thuir (France), MD Cum Laude from the University of Granada, Corresponding Member of the Royal Academy of Medicine and Surgery of Murcia, Psychiatrist Head of the Unit for Acute Psychiatric University Hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca of Murcia, Associate Professor of Psychiatry at The Faculty of Medicine, Murcia, Valencia Professor Doctor Teacher Accreditation Agency ( AVAP), Medical Director of Psicoclínica of Murcia, and Tutor of resident physicians of Psychiatry, Family Medicine and Neurology University Hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca.
He is also a researcher enneurociencia clinical and experimental School of Medicinade Murcia of Nice Cibernede IMIB, principal investigator of the Research Group in Psychiatry and Research in Neuroscience (IPENC) dela Training Foundation and Health Research in the Region of Murcia, member societies Spanish psychiatry and biological psychiatry and board ASEPP, expert clinical depression, bipolar disorders and schizophrenia with numerous national and international conferences and publications of papers, books and book chapters on topics.
His strong relationship with the town of Molina de Segura is linked to his work as director of Psychiatry courses in Daily Life dela Sea International University and the Medical Research Foundation Molina de Segura (FEM), which in 2014 reached its fifth edition.
Meanwhile, DISMO is an associative entity social, nonprofit, founded in 1981 to defend and support the rights of the physically disabled in the municipality of Molina de Segura.
Since 2012 is part of FEDER (Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases).
There are 9 professionals: psychologist, psychologist, social worker, social educator, speech therapists, physiotherapists, occupational monitor and driver.
12 users currently serves on the day center, 40 in early intervention, 30 schools and 520 partners.
