The exhibition The color, light and sea, the artist Elisa Fernández García, organized by the Culture Department of the City of Molina de Segura, opens to the public on Tuesday, April 14, at 19.00 pm in the Exhibition Hall The Shutters (Calle Pensioner, n ° 3).

The exhibition will remain open until May 11 and will be open: morning, Monday to Friday, from 10.00 to 13.30, and Saturdays and Sundays from 11.00 to 14.00;

and afternoons, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 16.00 to 20.00 and Friday from 17.30 to 19.30.

Elisa Fernández García was born in Cuenca 68 years ago.

Bring based in Murcia for 38 years, 18 of them in Molina de Segura.

He has held teaching at the University of Cartagena (School of Nursing) and professional nursing in Madrid, Cuenca, Salamanca and Cartagena, in the Hospital del Rosell.

The last years of professional experience, prior to retirement, developed at the Center for Health Jesús Marín, Molina de Segura, nursing coordinator.

The love of painting comes to him since childhood, when, Schoolgirl, gets some prizes and discover the innate knack for drawing and painting.

But it is from about ten years ago when the drive for that early vocation bursts back into life and began to paint in a more consistent manner.

He has received teachings of Teresa Macabich in its early years, and later in workshops and Maribel Alba Patricia Gómez, where he acquired more refined knowledge.

Extremely sensitive woman, observer of nature, this exhibition features thirty works primarily with watercolor and acrylic techniques which predominates, as the title of the exhibition, color, light your host Murcia, which gives you a unique and special to his painting clarity, the arid landscape and Mediterranean light, essentially on the issues of the sea.

They may be seen from his first watercolors until the last work he has done, which portrays landscapes of his native Cuenca.

He admits captivated by the painting of the French Impressionists, unconditional admirer of Pedro Cano, and admirer of Paul Gauguin, Frida Kahlo, Zobel, Pedro Serna ...
