At the same event, the City of Molina de Segura has received the Smart Cities 2015 lifetime achievement award, along with the cities of Alcorcón, Malaga and Zaragoza.

Molina de Segura is the first municipality in the Region of Murcia Molina de Segura has Smart City Master Plan, in order to guide the action of the government team to turn Molina de Segura in an "intelligent, transparent, open city and participatory "offering" excellent services to its citizens "in a context of" economic sustainability "and" total respect for the environment ".
