The protected natural area of ​​Las Lagunas Campotéjar-Salar Gordo will attend the traditional market Souk Molina de Segura Guadalabiad Saturday May 2, from 18.00 to 22.00 pm in the Town Hall Square (next to the Paseo de las Letras) with its attractive informative / participatory stand on the natural values ​​of this wetland and waterfowl that inhabit it, especially the white-headed duck, a species in danger of extinction worldwide.
The Department of Environment report on the various activities carried out within the framework of the European project LIFE 09 / NAT / ES / 000 516 for the preservation of white-headed duck (headed duck) in the Region of Murcia.
The objective of this project and its programs Awareness and Environmental Volunteer is to bring citizens the extraordinary natural values ​​that house Las Lagunas de Campotéjar-Salar Gordo, and promote active participation in conservation.
With this stand in the craft market, plus the ability to gather information on the activities that can be performed in the lakes and Information Center Welcome Visitor, visitors can observe a variety of materials and images of projects carried out as well as a workshop of plates animals Lagoons, focused on children.
The stand of the white-headed duck is part of the artisan market every first Saturday of the month, at 17.00 hours to 21.00 hours (winter time) or from 18:00 to 22:00 hours (spring-summer).
