The Ragpickers Emmaus Association of Murcia, in collaboration with the Department of Environment of the City of Molina de Segura, has organized a free guided tour of the facilities of Los Ramos (Murcia), on Friday, June 5, World Day Environment, from 10.00 to 13.30 pm (departure / return), with exit / return on Avenida de Madrid (bus stop next to City Hall).
The activity is done to publicize firsthand how the partnership works in the workshops of treatment, recovery and recycling of materials, shop-trail and life in their community.
Emmaus was founded in 1995 as a nonprofit organization aimed at combating social exclusion through the development of solidarity actions with the people and responsible to the environment.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the association has scheduled a full program of activities, including guided tours to their facilities.
The program of activities for the 20th anniversary of Emmaus in the region of Murcia wants to present the different aspects of social and environmental projects developed by the association and the work being done in these 20 years of existence.
To facilitate the movement there will be a free shuttle bus, being essential pre booking of space, to be attended by strict order of application until all seats (up to 5 reservations on request).
