The act of certification Salzillo College as a center of thought based learning (TBL) will take place on Wednesday June 10 at 19.00 pm in the auditorium of the Colegio Salzillo.
Attending the acting President of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, Alberto Garre Lopez, Acting Mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras Linares, the director of the center, Remedios Cases de Lara, and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Harvard and Director of National Center for Teaching Thinking (NCTT) of Boston, Robert Swartz.
TBL is a project born from the hand of Robert Swartz, one of the most recognized in the field of international education teachers.
He founded the NCTT, which advises the most prestigious schools in the world and train teachers and educators in teaching and learning based on the critical and creative thinking.
This instruction is the infusion of teaching critical and creative thinking curriculum content.
In other words, the teacher teaches students to think and learn skills knowledge of the subject studied in class, applying techniques and habits of thought needed to develop in students the capacity.
Specifically, the project aims to promote TBL thinking strategies in students.
It is further the intellectual habits for learning more meaningful and effective.
This is a major methodological renewal in the classroom.
Students work collaboratively, think for themselves and are able to build their learning by sharing ideas and learning from others.
A school NCTT certified as school-based learning model Thought (TBL) is a school that has made effective teaching thinking an explicit part of the curriculum;
he has achieved all their teachers have a high level of expertise in the infusion of critical and creative thinking in the teaching of the curriculum;
which features a group of teachers trained Coaches or trainers to teach techniques based teaching thinking to new teachers who join.
It must also have the commitment of the owners managers, head teachers and coordinators at all times to support the implementation of this type of instruction.

All teachers have carried out two successful experiences of training or coaching staff a coach teaches two lessons NCTT while infusion into two basic types of thinking skills.
All teachers have presented a detailed portfolio providing evidence of instruction of three additional lessons taught where they have worked other thinking skills different from previous, necessary to be certified as Professor TBL requirement.
10% of certified teachers and teacher TBL has trained to become certified as Coach TBL establishing a system of Peer Coaching.
A teacher of the center is already Presenter TBL workshops and two are in the process of formation.
The center has established a system of coaching in all stages.
The College through its Educational Department has incorporated the TBL consciously and explicitly written in the school curriculum in what is called Curriculum Mapping.
