The closing ceremony of the course Skills Gardening Nurseries, sponsored by the Department of Social Welfare of the City of Molina de Segura, took place on Friday June 19 in the auditorium of the Centro Integral ceramics.
The course was developed from March to June 2015, with a duration of 70 hours.
The objective is to encourage the recruitment of unemployed people in the municipality to employment, enabling them the necessary resources resulting in an improvement in their personal, social and professional skills, so as to allow them to resolve the difficulties arising from the current situation for labor integration.
They were selected 17 people, of which, during the course, five have been incorporated into various jobs.
The course consisted of two distinct parts, yet interrelated and complementary: on the one hand, nurseries and gardening training, aimed at providing training in this specialty;
and on the other hand, group intervention, which has enabled them to analyze and reflect on their personal situation.
This course was developed by an interdisciplinary team and in collaboration with the Association for Mediation in the Region of Murcia.
With this partnership working from the municipal social services in two lines: mediation and psychosocial care.
As explained by the Councillor for Social Welfare, Lola Vicente Quiles, "we can say that the objectives sought to obtain were achieved both by the good work of the entire team of social services, such as those attending the course, since the group work has enabled them to acquire knowledge in the art of gardening and nurseries, while that has led to a new sense of belonging, leading to better personal identification, which has enabled them to better skills for future labor incorporation " .
