The City of Molina de Segura has signed cooperation agreements with AFAD, APAMOL and Caritas, to develop social work in the city.
The total amount of subsidies provided by the municipality through these agreements amounted to 13,000 euros.
The signing ceremony took place today Thursday, October 1, in the Press Room of the City Council, chaired by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, accompanied by the Councillor for Social Welfare, Lola Vicente Quiles.
By social organizations, attended Pedro Mondejar, representative of Caritas Interparroquial of Molina de Segura, Trinidad Gomez Garcia, President of the Association of Relatives of Patients with Alzheimer's and other dementias Molina de Segura (AFAD) of, and Patricia Lopez Lopez, President of the Association for People Affected by Parkinson's disease and other neurological disorders of Molina de Segura (APAMOL).
The contents of the signed agreements is as follows:
Collaboration agreement with APAMOL for care of people affected by Parkinson's disease and other neurological disorders.
The association is committed to making efforts aimed at acting on those areas for which the disease causes further deterioration, chasing stop or slow down the process, while the City Council is committed to providing economic assistance of 4,000 euros.
Addendum to the collaboration agreement with AFAD for the Care of Patients with Alzheimer's and other dementias.
AFAD and the City of Molina de Segura pledged in February 2015 to assist in the care of patients with Alzheimer's and other dementias in the municipality, through the realization of tasks of information, awareness and stimulation workshops.
To this end, the council made a contribution of 19,000 euros, while AFAD committed to carrying out these tasks.
To mark the progressive increase and evolution in demand for highly specialized care coverage is impossible through households, the economic cost of performance of it by AFAD is considerably higher than the contribution made from the municipal administration .
Therefore, the City of Molina de Segura is now committed to increasing the economic contribution to the AFAD in the amount of 2,000 euros.
Addendum to the collaboration agreement with Caritas Interparroquial of Molina de Segura for the draft Care and Immigrant Aid, bystanders and other groups.
The agreement was approved in February 2015 and it Interparroquial Caritas undertook to provide the basic service and immigrants, homeless and other groups help.
Meanwhile, the local council provided financial assistance of 50,000 euros.
To mark the progressive increase and evolution in demand for care and help from people and groups at risk of exclusion, a higher contribution from the municipal administration for the performance of the social action Caritas has been carrying out is necessary.
Therefore, the City of Molina de Segura is now committed to increasing the economic contribution to Caritas in the amount of 7,000 euros.
