The Ethnographic Museum Carlos Soriano El Llano de Molina organizes a photography workshop on Sunday October 11 (08/10/2015)

The Department of Tourism and Culture of the City of Molina de Segura proposes for Sunday October 11, from 11.30 to 13.30, the visit and the photography workshop at the Ethnographic Museum Carlos Soriano in the hamlet of El Llano de Molina.

It is an activity aimed at a family audience, which, taking advantage of the various shades of autumn, teach tricks to make pretty pictures.

Carlos Soriano The Ethnographic Museum is located in the old manor that this lawyer had in his agricultural colony of Llano de Molina de Segura and was inaugurated on 17 May 2003. The proposed activities will take place from Monday to Thursday for groups by appointment (schools, associations, cultural centers, etc., the municipality and the region), and the second Sunday of the month, for the general population, in schedule from 11.30 to 13.30.

The City of Molina de Segura, in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works, rehabilitated the building and launched the center.

The complex is constituted by the manor house, the adjoining chapel was part of the colony, an area of ​​agricultural crops, to display the characteristic products of the area, a water wheel on the canal in operation and declared of cultural interest and since 2011, a room for temporary exhibitions.

The manor house has two floors.

On the ground floor there is the entrance where highlights a tinajero, under the stairs, and some archaeological pieces from surveys conducted in the city since 1992. Passing find different kitchen utensils that were part of this stay and some collections of ceramics and glass.

Passing through the courtyard of the house we come to the temporary exhibition hall where proposals from different artists of the town develop.

Upstairs includes a first room where we contemplate different costumes.

The next room is composed of different models where huertanas work and some artifacts as wells, mills ... The last room recreates a bedroom of the late nineteenth century are collected.
