The celebration of the National Day of Spain and the festival of Pilar, patroness of the Civil Guard took place on Monday 12 October in the Plaza of Spain (Old Town Hall Square, which, by agreement of the City Council, has recently changed its name).
The Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, accompanied by the Deputy Commander of the Civil Guard Post in Molina de Segura, Monica Chapa Inmaculada Sancho, presided over the ceremony.
Work has begun at 11.30 pm in the Plaza of Spain, with the commemoration of the Day of the National Party.
First, has paid tribute and respect to the flag of Spain (under full agreement in the stage area located in the Plaza, it is located a flag of Spain three by two meters on a mast nine meters), and the Municipal Band of Molina de Segura has played the National Anthem.
Then we proceeded to the reading of institutional speeches to commemorate the Day of the National Day of Spain, by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, and the Director General of Public Safety and Emergency Region of Murcia Manuel Duran Garcia.
Upon completion of the speeches, the presenter of the event proceeded to read the agreement that the change of name of Town Hall Square by Square Spain is determined, majority agreement reached by the Municipal Corporation's special meeting held on September 7 2015, proceeding then to unveil a commemorative plaque with the new name of the Plaza.
Finally, the ceremony ended with the exchange of institutional detail by the Mayor and the post commander of the Civil Guard.
After the official ceremony, he has begun mass campaign celebration of the Virgen del Pilar, patron of the Civil Guard, which has been made an offering to the dead of the Civil Guard.
The celebrations have had a long list of guests and citizens have joined them.

Mayor Lorquí, Joaquin Hernandez Gomariz, and other councilors of the Municipal Corporation of the City of Lorquí and Cayetano Ruiz, the local police sergeant of the town;
Mayor of Ceuta, Juan Felipe Cano;
José Pérez Almagro, Head of the Local Police Molina de Segura;
former councilmen of the Municipal Corporation of the City of Molina de Segura;
