The Department of Culture of the City of Molina de Segura commemorates the International Day of the Library (October 24) with organizing a Cultural Week, the program will run from 19 to 24 October in the Library Salvador García Aguilar (at Avenue Chorrico, No. 44) and Mercedes Mendoza Library (in Street Cervantes, No. 5).

The library network of Molina de Segura, to celebrate this day, has organized a Cultural Week with various activities, such as meetings with authors, book presentations, Caritas charity market, competitions, etc., in order to advertise and promote the important work of libraries in modern society
The program includes various activities:
Monday, October 19: at 10.00, Mercedes Mendoza Library, school visit and meeting with the writer Paco Lopez Mengual;
and, at 12.00, SGA Library, school visit and meeting with writer Carmen Martinez Marico.
From 20 to 23 October, from 10.00 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 21.00, SGA Library, a solidarity book will be installed, Switches food for books.
Those interested in collaborating, and be able to choose a book or audiovisual material change to leave non-perishable food or a donation.
All that is collected will be donated to Caritas of Molina de Segura.

Saturday, October 24, SGA Library, at 11.00, memory workshop for children.
In addition, from 13 to 24 October, the BSGA organizes several competitions: Bookmark (free drawing, 4-6 years), Christmas cards (collecting material from 13 to 17 October in counter library for children 7 to 12 years) and it takes place Knowing Yes (from 19 October).
