The jury of XII Setenil Award for Best Story Book Published in Spain 2015, meeting on 26 October, it has agreed to grant the award to Emilio Gavilanes for his book Secret History of the World, published by Editions publisher of The Discreet (Madrid) .
The jury, composed by Juan Bonilla, Jose Maria Pozuelo, Manuel Martinez and Manuel Moyano Arnaldos chose this work from among the 97 submitted by publishers and authors in Spain.
It is the busiest in the history of Setenil Award, sponsored by the Department of Culture of the City of Molina de Segura, which has an endowment of 10,000 euros for the author of the winning book call.
The award-winning writer, Emilio Gavilanes (Madrid, 1959), has published novels including The First Adventure (1991) and The Lost Forest (2001), both in Seix Barral.
As an author of short stories has given the press table of two, who won the NH Prize Stories 2003, or The River (2005) which was shortlisted for the award Setenil III.
He has also published several collections of haiku.
The award-winning book, The Secret History of the world is an ambitious set of stories and micro-stories that human history runs a clean, evocative prose that demonstrates the inexhaustible capacity fabulating author.
The ceremony of the XII Setenil Prize will take place on December 3, 2015, in the Plenary Hall of the City of Molina de Segura, attended the award-winning author of the jurors and various authorities.
The winners of the previous editions of Setenil, considered one of the most important awards in the national literary tale panorama, were Alberto Mendez, Juan Pedro Aparicio, Cristina Fernández Cubas, Sergi PĂ mies Oscar Esquivias, Fernando Clemot, Francisco Lopez Serrano, David Roas, Clara Obligado, Ignacio Ferrando and Javier Saez de Ibarra.
