Integrated Agricultural Training and Experience (CIFE) of Molina de Segura, under the Ministry of Water, Agriculture and Environment Centre has successfully passed audits for maintaining the integrated management system based on international standards from over ten years ago it has certified.
This is the Quality Management Standard ISO 9001: 2008, Environmental Management Standard ISO 14001: 2004 and EMAS Regulation and Management Standard for Occupational Health and Safety OHSAS 18001: 2007.
The audits were conducted by the certification body Lloyd's Register Quality.
Based on these rules, the CIFE Molina de Segura has defined objectives, procedures and indicators for evaluating and monitoring in different areas of action, whose ultimate goal is to improve each year in the three basic pillars that support its integrated management system.
This system is based on continuous improvement of training, the results and the technical means available;
sustainability and environmental awareness in all activities;
and strict protection of the health and safety of all workers and users.
Among the benefits that the implementation of these regulations has been set for this maintenance center in recent years the index zero accidents among employees and students, the development of high quality training, which results in a high rate of employment their students, and the recognition of their professional skills by companies.
It has also made it possible to reduce the consumption of energy and water in the center, in some cases by more than two-thirds consumed prior to the implementation of the system.
The application of these standards has also been reported to this center obtaining some prizes such as' Sustainable development institutions, professional groups and non-business organizations', awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water in 2009, of 'Recognition environmental responsibility ', awarded by this Ministry under the Social Pact for the Environment of the Region of Murcia, 2010, or the prize for best practice in the prevention of occupational risks' Antonio Ruiz Jimenez', awarded by the Institute of Security Occupational Health and Murcia in 2012.
The CIFE Molina de Segura is the only center or public entity in the region that have implemented the EMAS Regulation (currently only 24 companies in Murcia have this certification).
It is also pioneering a national and international scale, as there is no public record of any training center that is certified in the four standards that it has implemented this CIFEA.
