The opening ceremony of the new building of the Conservatory of Music Maestro Jaime Lopez and School of Music and Dance in Molina de Segura will take place today Monday 2 June at 20.00 pm in Calle Capitán Cortés, s / n (in solar of the former factory Maximino Moreno Barrio del Castillo).
Attending the ceremony the President of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, Ramón Luis Valcárcel Siso, the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras Linares, and the Councillor for Education and Culture, Mariola Martinez Robles.
The works have been executed by Villegas Construcciones SL, with an investment of 1,999,850 euros, on a plot of 815 square meters, located in the former factory of Maximino Moreno.
The building has a total constructed area of 2175.50 meters square and a total floor space of 1889.70 meters square, spread over three floors.
Classrooms have the following: 2 multi-purpose rooms (100 m2), 2 dance classes (75 m2), 1 classroom percussion (70 m2), 1 computer room (30 m2), 7 collective classrooms (25 m2) 3 Camera classrooms (35 m2), 12 instrumental classrooms (15 m2), and 5 study rooms (8 m2).
It also has libraries, video libraries, record, STAFF ROOM, CABINET MEDICAL ADMINISTRATION area and (Counseling, and Coordination Secretariat and offices of Department, Head of Studies, AMPA and Alumni Association, Municipal Band, Orchestra Rope and Coral Municipal Municipal Hims Hims Mola Mola).
The Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, said, "It is a beautiful reality for Molina de Segura have the Conservatory and the Municipal School of Music and Dance and power as well, to satisfy the demand that our society demands in these artistic disciplines.

The conservatory is named for the molinense Jaime López Sánchez, a school teacher and musician career, died in Molina de Segura at 93 years old last February, and developed a commendable job throughout his long teaching career in the field of music.
This humble school teacher, dedicated body and soul to his passion, music, formed the basis in the recent history of the current School of Music and Conservatory of Molina de Segura, which takes its name from two years ago.
Natural Molina de Segura, Jaime Lopez was born on August 12, 1914 and conducted a tireless work as a music teacher and director of the Municipal Academy of Music in Molina de Segura in the early eighties.
He himself attended the formal ceremony of laying the first stone of the Conservatory of Music and School of Music and Dance in Molina de Segura, which took place on April 5, 2006.
Among his pupils included the existence of many professional musicians in the town.
It has therefore been germ pool of young musicians who have made a municipality Molina de Segura as outstanding musical education.
