Spanish Red Cross presents the traveling exhibition On the other side in order to show the realities facing immigrants who dare to come in small boats from the coast of Africa.

The exhibition, marking sensory character, intended to convey feelings about the motivations and travel of people taking the decision to leave their country, their family, their environment and culture with the expectation of a better life.

Through the exhibition, visitors can see what life is like in their countries of origin, how is the journey, the dangers they face, the fears and abuses suffered during their migration process.

The show also wants to show the work and efforts in the Spanish Red Cross through their emergency equipment, providing humanitarian aid to these people who arrive exhausted and sometimes very sick, having faced a tough journey of several days at sea.

In 2007, the Red Cross served 14,335 people, which provided medical care, warm clothes, drinks, food, etc..
