The Department of Environment of Molina de Segura is launching the first Programme for Environmental Education and civic associations MOLINA WITH OTHER EYES (09/04/2008)

Activity Guide 2008 of the first Programme for Environmental Education and the Voluntary Sector and the general population, MOLINA WITH OTHER EYES, whose theme this year is to educate today for a more sustainable city, which has been published by the Department of Environment Ayuntamiento de Molina de Segura, was presented at a press conference Wednesday April 9, by the Councillor for the Environment, Consuelo Rosauro Meseguer, Councillor for Citizen Participation, Estrella Perez Zafra, and the President of the Federation of Neighborhood Associations Interbarrios, Pedro García López.

This is an innovative program at the regional level, drawn from the municipal Environmental Education Service (SEA), which aims to bring the people of Molina de Segura and civic associations closer to the natural environment, showing its biodiversity, its natural, urban and cultural.

All this through engaging activities that directly involve citizens in the enhancement and conservation of natural areas and improving the city.

Explains the Councillor for the Environment, Consuelo Rosauro, "since the creation of the Environmental Education Service, the Department of Environment has worked with neighborhood associations in various training and education initiatives on the environment, and has promoted many activities molinense population.

After the evaluation of these experiences and the demands of citizens, increasingly involved and concerned about environmental issues, we have demonstrated the need for a more structured response to the activities offered and made it through implementation of this new program Molina with different eyes. "

With the completion of this program, the SEA is intended to generate critical behaviors and attitudes and collaboration aimed at improving the city environment, to build a sense of collective responsibility and social behavior directed toward sustainable use of resources.

It also seeks to highlight the various aspects of social and environmental problems of the municipality, in addition to raising awareness and promoting active participation of its citizens, aimed at making decisions and offering proposals for environmental management molinense Hall.

The program has the support of SERCOM Ecoembes, the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Spatial Planning of the Region of Murcia, the Agency for Energy Management in the Region of Murcia, the Public Entity for Water in the Region of Murcia, ESAMUR, neighborhood associations Molina de Segura and the departments of Tourism, Youth and Citizenship molinense Hall.

The guide consists of three blocks, with the following contents:

Awareness raising and environmental education open to the general population, with 10 songs on urban and natural environment, divided into two sections: Molina, nature with different eyes, and Molina, the city with different eyes.

Communication activities and environmental education for citizens' associations, with a total of 15 issues related to the environment of great interest and very close, divided into 31 activities.

Environmental campaigns.

It offers associations and the general public, information, materials and activities of the campaigns from the Department of Environment.

It also provides information on another form of active participation in environmental management of natural areas, such as the Environmental Volunteer Program Molina.

The presentation to civic associations, chaired by the Councillor for the Environment, will take place on Wednesday 9th April at 19.30 pm in the auditorium of the College of Education Child Paseo Rosales.

Will also be attended by the Councillor for Citizen Participation, Estrella Perez Zafra, and the President of the Federation of Neighborhood Associations Interbarrios, Pedro García López.
