I ENVIRONMENT FAIR Molina de Segura, organized by the City of Molina de Segura, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Spatial Planning of the Region of Murcia, Sercom and Association of Regional Environment Murcia (AEMArm), held on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 June, coinciding the celebration of World Environment Day.
The exhibition was presented Tuesday June 3 at the Plenary Hall of the City Council, after which it undertook also to the delivery of sustainable action I AWARDS 2008, awarded by the city of Molina de Segura, through Department of Environment.
Attended by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, the Minister of Sustainable Development and Spatial Planning, Benito Mercader León, and the Councillor for the Environment, Consuelo Rosauro Meseguer.
Two main goals motivated the organization of this event: to bring together several companies related to the environment, and provide citizens of Molina de Segura an open space to the knowledge of applicable environmental products and services at home.
Thus among all contributing to sustainability in the economic and social development of the municipality and the region.
For two days public and private display in the booths installed in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, the developments of current technology applied to improving the environment, new patterns of consumption and the measures that institutions and companies available to citizens to achieve sustainability in economic and social development of a territory.
The opening hours of the stands will be: Thursday, June 5, from 10:00 to 14:00, and 17:00 to 20:00, and Friday 6 June, from 10.00 to 14.00.
Be present at this fair, the areas relating to treatment and recovery of solid waste collection, distribution and channeling of water and wastewater treatment, techniques of measurement, control and noise control, renewable energy, environmental services, urban and industrial cleaning; laboratories, management of natural resources and environmental protection as well as, landscaping and reforestation, science, research and technology transfer, among others.
Molinense The City Council has received the patronage of large and prestigious companies and institutions in different fields related to the environment, such as Iberdrola, Caja Mediterráneo, Azor Environmental Grupotec, Soltec and Restart.
In addition to the collaboration of AERT, Environmental Molina, Aremur, Argema, Cajamurcia, Containers Murciano, Comarth Electric Vehicles, Del'Aqua, EPA, FREMM, la Caixa, Spain Mil-tek, Pd Audio, Sol Southeast and Golf Club Altorreal.

The celebration of World Environment Day and the organization of this first exhibition helps us to advance the process of accepting new challenges and assume our responsibilities, and with this vision we signed the Aalborg commitments and we are developing Local Agenda 21, that enable the creation of effective municipal management to local sustainability. During the fair number of participating companies will be demonstrations on their products for a better understanding by and visitors.

In this presentation of fair environment has proceeded to the delivery of SUSTAINABLE ACTION AWARDS 2008 organized by the Department of Environment of the City of Molina de Segura, in order to publicly recognize the efforts on behalf of the environment environment for citizens, associations, public and private entities and media.
The categories that have received the award are:
Award for Sustainable Action Schools and training, which excelled in conducting awareness programs and environmental activities: the award this year for the Immaculate CEIP El Llano de Molina.
Citizen Action Award for Sustainable Partnerships for their collaboration and participation in projects and activities to promote citizen participation, sowing in neighboring Molina de Segura new concerns to the Environment and Sustainable Development: BANK URBAN CONSERVATION PARTNER Altorreal.
Award for Sustainable Action Public or private companies that excel in the development of new technologies and industrial processes with reduced environmental impact and the use of better techniques for environmental protection: IBERDROLA.
Award for Sustainable Action citizen committed to the environment, for a person who has excelled actions and behavior can respect the environment of the city: ANGEL MUÑOZ LARROSA.
Award for Sustainable Action Media, who have developed programs and projects targeted communication and public awareness towards the conservation of the Environment and Sustainable Development: JOURNAL OF TRUTH, the weekly supplement of Nature and Environment OUR LAND.
It has also been awarded the best public or private initiative that deserves special mention for their support for the preservation and improvement of the environment of the region, which this year went to the Minister of Sustainable Development and Planning, Javier Benito Mercader lion.
