The City of Molina de Segura has been awarded an Award SIMACITIES Cities Summit Award 2008 in the category Trends: Digital City: Electronic Administration, awarded by the International Madrid Real Estate Exhibition through the company Planner Reed.
The ceremony will take place on Wednesday 9 April at 14.30 pm in room 101/102 in the North Convention Center IFEMA in Madrid.
Prizes SIMACITIES Cities Summit 2008 consists of six categories:
Best Municipal Social Housing Policy.
Best Sustainable Urban Development Municipal Policy.
Best City Political Redefining Urban Spaces.
Municipal Policy Best Residential Projects no.
AWARD TRENDS, related to the implementation of new technologies to the municipal level: DIGITAL CITY: eGovernment.
Special Prize for Urban Research.
Awards were presented to local government and municipal housing companies and land.
The deadline for applications ended on 14 March.
Trends in the Award, Digital City is meant by "as the space in which its own citizens (including businesses, institutions, administration, etc.) Have developed the ability to interact with each other and the rest of society, using the full potential offered by information technology and communications. "
The jury considered as criteria: the complex infrastructure installed for the Digital City, and the uses and applications in the municipal framework (eGovernment).
