The President of the Autonomous Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, presented today at the Altorreal urbanization in Molina de Segura, the keys of 150 public housing units that are part of the Youth Housing Plan 2005-2008 driven by the regional government.

The president visited the new buildings, located on Avenida del Golf urbanization, accompanied by the Minister of Public Works, Housing and Transport, José Ballesta, and the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras.

Valcarcel said that "it is very affordable housing for young people, because the selling price ranges from 36,814 euros for apartments of 40 square meters and 82,345 for 90 meters, including duplex penthouses with garage and storage room ".

The recipients of these houses are young people under 35 who had no previous homeownership to the now gained and who meet all the requirements of the Youth Housing Plan 2005-2008.

Molina de Segura have been built and a total of 286 housing units since 2003 and 739 have qualified for a lease.

Thus, Valcarcel said, "the regional government is still committed to facilitating access to housing for young Murcia through policies of building subsidized housing, also aids rental or purchase of private housing, issues referred to in housing schemes have been launched since 2003. "

In this sense, the head of the Murcia stressed that "the Government of the Region of Murcia has a current total of 11,541 subsidized housing, mostly for young people under 35 years."

The Youth Housing Plan, only through the Institute of Housing and Lands with the agreements made with local governments, has built a total of 925 dwellings, of which 446 have already been granted.

Former Youth Housing Plan 2003-2005 allowed the construction and delivery of a total of 334 homes, and are under construction and other 186 pending delivery in the municipalities of Alhama de Murcia, Cartagena, Torre Pacheco, Ulea and Yecla.

Regarding the current Plan 2005-2008, have been delivered and a total of 112 homes in Jumilla, and includes another 84 more are under construction and many other pending delivery of the keys in the towns of Alhama, Bullas and Cieza.
