The Department of Public Safety of the City of Molina de Segura has developed brochures with tips for the summer, which have been sent by letter to all residents of the village associations for dissemination.

Explains Councillor for Citizen Security, Fortunato Arias City, "a minimum security measures can help to peacefully enjoy these summer months.

The list of tips for the summer is as follows:

IN NURSING HOMES:

Do not open the door opener with strangers.

Do not put the key under the doormat or in locations that are accessible to strangers.

The address should never reveal it is empty.

Never leave the door a note of his absence from home.

If you get home or find the door forced open, do not enter, please notify the police.

DURING PROLONGED ABSENCES FOR VACATION:

Do not go down all the blinds, leave clothes hanging, install an electronic device for turning on lights and do not disconnect the doorbell.

Install screens or shutters that give less visible parts, such as patios or streets with low traffic.

Do not leave money or valuables.

Remember to close the taps of water and gas.

Do not reveal your absence and leave a key to a person you trust to collect your mail and watch your home.

TO THE SUMMER HEAT:

Avoid long exposure to sun, especially at midday (especially children and elderly).

Avoid going out in the hottest hours.

Use light clothing.

Drink water often.

Remember that people are more sensitive to heat children (under 4 years), the elderly, sick, overweight people, workers exposed to the sun and sports.

ON TRAVEL:

Avoid leaving valuables inside the vehicle.

Avoid traveling with large amounts of cash.

IN PUBLIC PLACES:

Watch your purse or wallet in crowds (markets, shows, etc..).

WITH THE USE OF TWO-WHEEL VEHICLES:

Helmet use is required, both on motorcycles and mopeds.

Moderate your speed because it is one of the main causes of traffic accidents.

Respect pedestrian crossings.

Check your vehicle so that it does not emit too much noise, and it is annoying and harmful to health.
