Work Adjustment Project A5 Road to the Urban Environment in Molina de Segura (Avenida Gutiérrez Mellado) march apace, as has been proved by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, in the visit he made on Tuesday July 15, accompanied by the Councillor of Municipal Works, Daniel Soltero Chaves.
This is an action on two kilometers of road at the entrance to Molina de Segura, which includes the widening of the road, sort of crosses with roundabouts, implementation of service roads and complete renovation of sidewalks, vegetation and lighting.
The works were awarded by the city of Molina de Segura Shillings Brothers Construction Company, Inc., for a total of 2,887,528.91 euros, and a lead time of 12 months, which began last January.
This action is part of the Collaboration Protocol between the city of Molina de Segura and the Ministry of Works, Housing and Transportation of the Autonomous Community of Murcia for the execution of works by splitting of the A5 highway that connects Molina Safe and Fortuna (from its origin in the town of Molina de Segura to the junction of The Alcayna), signed in July 2007.
The other two measures envisaged in the project are:
ROUNDABOUT PROJECT IN THE LINK-381 OUTPUT OF STATE HIGHWAY A-30 (ALBACETE - CARTAGENA) WITH THE REGIONAL ROAD A-5 (MOLINA DE SEGURA - FORTUNA), whose work and concluded earlier this year.
This is a large roundabout on the link to both roads, in order to improve traffic flow and road safety as it was one of the most contentious cross the area.
These works correspond to the Ministry of Development.
DRAFT CLEAVAGE OF THE ROAD FROM A-5 PK7 AND PK 11 +250 +200
Improved layout and unfolding of the A-5, between the junction with the A-30 and the entrance to the urbanization of Alcayna, covering a length of 4 km., In which it will provide the characteristics of dual carriageway road urban split platform, central median with trees, service roads and side links using roundabouts.
Estimated investment: 7,000,000 euros.
