Activities Volunteer Program Municipal Environmental Department of the Environment of the City of Molina de Segura for 2008 are dedicated to the restoration and conservation of the Segura River as it passes through this county and knowledge of environmental and cultural values that characterize this ecosystem, and continue this fall after the summer break.
The first autumn activities this program will be held on 12 and 13 September in order to deepen the study of wildlife that inhabits and visits the Segura River as it passes through Molina de Segura.
On Friday 12 September, at 19.00 pm in the Centro Las Balsas (B º Sacred Heart), will take the lecture / workshop Following the traces of animals Segura, to know the wildlife that inhabits the river and how recognize by their signs and tracks.
For its part, on Saturday 13 September, from 09.00 to 14.00 hours, departure by bus from the Department of Environment, visit Almadenes Canyon for the recognition of fingerprints and traces of the riverside forest animals.
The activities that the volunteers are developing in Molina with this program are part of the Plan of Conservation and Natural Ecosystems Improve River Segura which runs the Natural Environment Service and Environmental Protection of the Department of Environment in collaboration with the Segura basin.
So far, a dozen participants have conducted research and environmental restoration, with the observation and appreciation of birds living in and visiting this nature's bank, management guides, binoculars and telescope.
They have also manufactured and placed several boxes / small birds nest in the Hijuela Soto.
Councillor alleges the Environment, Consuelo Rosauro, "the main objective of environmental volunteer program molinense is knowledge and awareness of environmental values of our river and its natural environment.
This measure is meant to encourage the participation of citizens in Molina de Segura and surrounding villages in its conservation and recovery.

The individuals or groups interested can join the activities at any time, you only need to formalize the registration in the Department of Environment.
To participate should not be collecting any kind of qualification or special physical preparation, should only be 18 years or over 16 years, with the permission of parents or guardians.
For those students interested, they should know that the Social Projection University Service and Volunteerism at the University of Murcia recognize free credits for participation in the Environmental Volunteer Program Molina de Segura.
