New bus service between Molina de Segura, Espinardo Campus and UCAM (25/09/2008)

The Directorate General for Transport and Highways has approved the establishment of a regular shuttle passengers between Molina de Segura, Espinardo Campus of the University of Murcia and UCAM Murcia within the concession and surroundings.

This line specifically aimed at university will be operational on Monday 29 September.

The service, launched today at a press conference by the mayor of the municipality, Eduardo Contreras, the director general of Transport and Highways, Carmen Sandoval, and the Councillor for Transport, Daniel Soltero, this is a concession which is modified in the provision of permanent regular service utility and transport passengers between Molina de Segura and the two campuses, university school days.

Thus, at the initiative of the consistory, the Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport is launching a new line specifically for college with the aim of increasing public transport services.

This new line, number 47, will serve in Molina de Segura in the bus station and Main Street.

In addition, there will be a direct service to the campus, with stops at Espinardo and Catholic University.

This new service will benefit many residents of the municipality molinense that, thanks to the economic contribution of the council, which financed the line, allow college students to buy tickets for 1.15 euros and bonds of 27 trips for 15 euros.

The service will be leaving from Molina de Segura at 8.15, 9.45, 10.45, 11.45, 12.45, 13.45, 14.45, 15.15, 16.45, 17.45, 18.45 and 20.15 hours, and all shipments pass through the campus of the University of Murcia Espinardo .

Those released at 8.15, 12.45, 14.45, 18.45 and 20.15 also come to the Catholic University.

According to the director general of Transport and Highways, "we live in a time when society is undergoing a continuous process of evolution and development.

Linked to this process, and growth and redistribution of population in the outskirts of the city, an increase in transport demand that we have to offer a satisfactory answer to guarantee the right to quality mobility for the citizen ".
