The City of Molina de Segura Launches Municipal Employment Plan with the objective of improving market access opportunities for employment of unemployed (06/03/2009)

The new Municipal Employment Plan of the City of Molina de Segura, drawn from the Department of Public Works and Employment, has been presented at a press conference Friday March 6, by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, and Councilmember Development and Employment, Sonia Carrillo Marble.

Mayor explains, "The aim of this plan is to develop different employment policies, the latter being understood as a set of programs and measures of guidance, employment and training aimed at improving market access opportunities of working unemployed, employed or self-serving mainly to those who are losing their jobs as a result of the current economic crisis.

We also include a strict policy of control of the Municipal Finance, with austerity in spending and encouraging the use of public resources. "

"Although the municipal institution is not able determinant in making decisions which affect a country's economic situation, this does not prevent us should have its own policy in which municipal job creation a priority.

TOTAL BUDGET FOR USE OF CITY PLAN amounts to 3,191,543.95 euros.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES Municipal Employment Plan are:

To provide unemployed workers with adequate training to labor market conditions that meets the needs of productivity and competitiveness of business and career aspirations and personal development of users, so to enable them to perform skilled of different professions and access to employment.

Provide training for people with special educational needs or who are struggling for integration or vocational retraining.

Making a planned provision of training courses adapted to the reality of work, focusing on those sectors with the highest probability of hiring.

Make a personalized career guidance to help in finding employment.

Mediate in the labor market to help workers find jobs and employers to hire workers to address their needs.

Promote job creation.

Promote and improve employment increasing modernization and innovation.

Promote and support the commercial sector molinense.

Promote entrepreneurship.

Development of industrial estates.

This program includes a Social Pact for Employment, promoted by the council, which, along with various social and Management, held in the framework of the ESF Common Spaces.

The Employment Pact's main purpose is to find solutions to the problem of unemployment, the latter serving as a framework for dialogue and cooperation, to encourage all those performances comprehensive job creation, through the coordination of policies, efforts and resources.

5 .- OVEN CASTLE SCHOOL WORKSHOP:

Project duration: 2 years (from 14 December 2007 to December 14, 2009)

Target group: young people aged 16 to 25 years.

Number of workshops: 4 (masonry, woodwork, metalwork and plumbing / electrical).

Number of students: 40 (10 students per workshop).

Work: rehabilitation of the Casa del Horno del Castillo and Adaptation and Renovation of the headquarters of the Workshop School.

6 .- SCHOOL WORKSHOP RECEPTION CENTER OF VISITORS:

7 .- WOMEN EMPLOYMENT WORKSHOP MOLINA III:

8 .- LOCAL CENTER FOR WOMEN AND YOUTH EMPLOYMENT

It hired 22 people to form the Environmental Brigade.

20 people will be hired for the Home Help Service.

12 people will be hired for Reconciling Work and Family Life.

The recruitment will be 1 year.

12 .- MUNICIPAL AID FOR JOB CREATION:

Budget: 100,000 euros.

These grants are intended to support initiatives for unemployed people who opt for the creation of a business (self-owned companies or cooperatives), companies engaged in new contracts and self-employed (excluding independent professionals) who perform their activity Over the past 2 years in the town and will make an investment directly related to their normal work activity.

13 .- PLAN USED GREEN

It is a program that is funded by the ESF in partnership with the Biodiversity Foundation.

Workers is addressed, with special emphasis on the sectors in crisis or conversion.

14 .- TRADE FAIR OUTLET:

Will take place from 9 to 13 December, funded by the Directorate General of Trade and Handicraft of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, in collaboration with the Open Mall.

Its main objective is to publicize and promote trade quality Molina de Segura.

15 .- CRAFT SHOWS:

Will take place from 18 to 20 December, funded by the Directorate General of Trade and Handicraft of the Autonomous Community of Murcia.

Its main objective is to publicize and promote the handicraft sector in the Region of Murcia.

16 .- A PARTNERSHIP GRANT CITY MALL OPEN

The City of Molina de Segura allocated a grant of 12,000 euros to Open Trade Center Association to assist in promoting activities of the association made.

17 .- Craft Market Souk GUADALABIAD:

Takes place the first Saturday of each month.

Involving 20 craftsmen, providing its products.

18 .- D'TAPAS CAMPAIGN FOR MOLINA:

Campaign huertanos Flavors: from 2 to 18 April.

D'Tapeo campaign by Molina: coinciding with the festivities.

Objective: To promote and support the hospitality industry of the municipality, providing its cuisine.
