The works of cleavage and adaptation to the urban environment of Molina de Segura A5 road has been inaugurated today
Monday 30 March.
In the same act has taken place at the opening of the street Captain Carbonell.
Attended by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, the Director General of Highways in the Region of Murcia, José Guijarro Gallego, and Alderman of Municipal Works, Daniel Soltero Chaves, and other members of the Municipal Corporation of the City molinense.
This is a result of action on two miles of road at the entrance to Molina de Segura, which includes the widening of the road, sort of crosses with roundabouts, implementation of service roads and complete renovation of sidewalks, vegetation and lighting.
The works have been executed by the firm Schillings Brothers Construction, Inc., for a total of 2,887,528.91 euros.
This action is part of the Collaboration Protocol between the city of Molina de Segura and the Ministry of Works, Housing and Transportation of the Autonomous Community of Murcia for the execution of works by splitting of the A5 highway that connects Molina Safe and Fortuna (from its origin in the town of Molina de Segura to the junction of The Alcayna), signed in July 2007.
The other two measures envisaged in the project are:
ROUNDABOUT PROJECT IN THE LINK-381 OUTPUT OF STATE HIGHWAY A30 (ALBACETE / CARTAGENA) WITH THE REGIONAL ROAD A5 (MOLINA DE SEGURA / FORTUNA), whose works have already concluded a year ago.
This is a large roundabout on the link to both roads, in order to improve traffic flow and road safety as it was one of the most contentious cross the area.
These works correspond to the Ministry of Development.

Improved routing and splitting of the A5 road between the junction with the A30 motorway and the entrance to the urbanization of Alcayna, covering a length of 4 km., In which the road will provide the characteristics of an urban expressway platform split, central median with trees, service roads and side links using roundabouts.
Estimated investment: 7,000,000 euros.
