The Director of Roads, Jose Guijarro, opened today, with the mayor of Molina de Segura, Eduardo Contreras, the urban section of the road remodeled RM-A5, regional ownership, which links the town with Fortuna and gives access to The urbanization of Alcayna.
"The RM-A5 is a major regional route communications between the Vega Media and the Eastern Region, at which have carried out these improvement works to provide more safety on this road along which four million and vehicles through the year, "said Guijarro.
Thus, the works have included the restructuring of the road with side roads, parking areas and roundabouts as a liaison between the Avenue and other main roads of the municipality as Panderón street, Avenida Menéndez Pidal Moses, Avenida García Lorca or the Montañal.
In addition, the firm has strengthened and has done a total renovation of the pedestrian areas and lighting and signage.
The urban section is opened from the street of San Juan de Molina de Segura junction with the roundabout which connects with the A-30, and has been implemented and funded by the City molinense, under agreement with the Department as which the regional government plans to build the section between the junction with the A-30 and the access roundabout to the urbanization of La Alcayna, action that is currently under recruitment.
As explained by the general director, "the renewal and adaptation of this road will not only bring benefits to drivers but also pedestrians and in the future will be a great avenue to connect the many neighborhoods in the municipality with the conurbation we projected the extension of the sidewalks so that residents can walk all the way or use for bike lanes. "
