The town of Molina de Segura account from this course with a Senior Lecture at the University of Murcia, thus joining the two that were already operating in Murcia and Lorca.
Senior Classroom constitute an offer of college for people over 50 years offering a wide variety of studies.
It is specifically aimed at people interested in culture who could not enter university at the time, or who wish to return back to school and reconnect with a college academic life.
The Senior Hall of Molina de Segura offering four courses this year, with a duration of ten hours each will be taught by professors from the University of Murcia.
The first is entitled "Reviewing the Spanish Literature" and will be headed by Professor Sagrario Ruiz Baños.
In this course will "promote health from age 50, coordinated by Professor of the Faculty of Medicine Alberto Manuel Torres Cantero," Knowing to enjoy the History of Art "by Mary Griñán Montealegre and finally" The economic news, which will be coordinated by Professor of Economics and Business Faculty of Fernando Ignacio Sánchez Martínez.
All of them, in line with the objectives to be chaired always senior classroom teaching: to promote a better understanding of the environment for a better use of leisure facilities, contributing to the continuous adaptation of the adult in the rapid changes that our society lives and allow older people relationship with the University of Murcia, promoting training throughout life.
The courses will be developed in the central Balsas de Molina de Segura, and registration is free.
The opening ceremony of the First Cycle University Senior Training took place on Monday October 5th and was attended by Eduardo Contreras, Mayor Molina, Francisco Guillermo Díaz Baños, Vice Chancellor of University Extension, University of Murcia , M ª Isabel Sola Ruiz, Managing Director of IMAS; Worship Molina López, Councillor for Social Welfare and Juan Benito Martinez, Coordinator of the Office of Senior Classroom Murcia.
