David Luna (AD Molina): "On Sunday Elda try to do our work" (17/10/2009)

The base molinense David Luna says his experiences with junior and senior teams of the Agrupación Deportiva molinense after 7 weeks of work under the orders of Javier Aguirre.

Its objectives, goals, strengths, their flaws, dreams ...

are reflected in this interview with the young master of the game.

Hi David.

After some years of Murcia, how was your signing for AD CB Molina from the Capuchins?

For in the beginning I had more or less clear that it wanted to continue in Capuchins, and stopped to spend the summer resting without much thought to what they would do.

Harvey called me one day explaining the project I wanted to do this year at 1 st National and could be a part of this project and I do not think much to answer it because I've always had a great coach.

What part of the game is making it more relevant to you best?

Javi is a coach who likes to play very hard giving 100% of what you can to level attitude, you come out better or worse things, and I'm noticing that it takes a lot and I like to do so.

In my position (the base) mostly want surrender at defensive much, you do run the team for easy baskets, you know the team and send control when in the field.

In that aspect in training trying to do what you ask.

Looking back, despite being a native of Molina de Segura, had never played in the ADM, although it started in CB Molina.

Tell us a bit throughout your career as a player.

Well, I started playing basketball with my brother for fun as a kid, and he played in the CB Molina, so my mother told me to try to get involved.

There I had 2 great coaches such as Paul and Fulgencio Martínez Manzano, who taught me the truth right thing.

After the first year cadet, I called the CB Murcia, and the coach was there and I liked what I saw of him and also peers, and because I wanted a change of pace, I went there.

I had two good years there, especially the second of cadets who had as coach Antonio Gomez, perhaps the most influenced me, with him we won the league and were about to get into the Championship of Spain to lose in the final sector by only 8 points.

From there I went to Capuchin where he was the coach that brought me to Murcia, Josema Castro.

And finally here in ADM I hope will be a good year.

What team player 1st National has surprised you most and why?

The truth is that all team players have their things, I really enjoy playing with them.

But if you had to say one, Angel Urena and I really like Nenad Petrovic, for his style of play, first plays really well to the post and has a very good shot 3.

And Nenad classy try to do everything well, it's scorer.

Also appoint another Angel, Artist, who cares a lot for me and is constantly helping me and advising me to get better, skin is left on the track.

From where will come the danger from Elda on Sunday, as I have commented on how this week?

The truth is I do not know the team, but we're training like we always do and thinking only of ourselves, we have to train hard and focused all week to get it to the party, have not told us much.

We know that last weekend was able to beat Elda Torre Pacheco away going up the last quarter, and from what I know, you have players with experience in 1 ª Nacional.

Finally, what is your junior team?

What gives you vibration when we just 2 days of league?

Well, I see the team well, these 2 games we've played have been rather a touchdown with what must be parties, although much remains to improve and get to the style of play that Javi wants you to do this is to defend very hard to steal the ball and get easy baskets.

I think this year is a good squad and good coaching staff to take advantage of at improvement, and sports scores.
