The Municipal Councillor of the City Cemetery in Molina de Segura, Victoria Gomez Alcazar, accompanied by the Councillor for Citizen Security, Fortunato Arias City, and Councilman responsible for Municipal Works Brigade, made today, Friday 30 October, a visit to the improvement works carried out at the Cemetery Nuestra
Lady of Consolation.
The municipality has invested 120,000 euros this year in the installation of side streets paved in three and four crossings.
It has also undertaken the planting of trees in the future Garden of Remembrance, "a project that will allow those citizens who wish to deposit in this new space the polls with the cremated ashes of their relatives," said the councilor.
The new garden, built in the last area of expansion of the cemetery, have a hollow altar to deposit the ashes, garden, and an area where you place the plates with the names of the deceased.
Moreover, as is traditional, the city of Molina de Segura has prepared a special device to help citizens in the Municipal Cemetery on the occasion of the feast of All Saints, celebrated on Sunday November 1st.
This device consists of Municipal Warehouse personnel, Civil Defence, Red Cross and local police in Molina de Segura, which will ensure the safety of the residents from 8.00 to 20.00.
To facilitate public access to the Municipal Cemetery Our Lady of Consolation, there will be the Eroski shopping center parking lots and areas adjacent to the cemetery, which have been empowered to do so.
On this day it is common for thousands of molinense visit the municipal cemetery.
Cemetery Our Lady of Consolation of Molina de Segura has undergone in recent years to a major expansion and now has a total area of 65,527 meters.
